The work behind the winners of the BICeBé 2019

Getting together is the beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is a success.»

— Henry Ford

The BICeBe Bolivia Poster Biennial presents the 10 winning posters of its 2019 International Poster Call.

Winners were chosen from 340 selected posters, which will constitute our main exhibition.

The Biennials of poster around the world institute a parameter of face-to-face swearing that can hardly be thought of and replaced by a virtual swearing-in. However, for the ideal conditions to exist, three factors are needed: the capacity and professionalism of the juries, the will to generate a rigorous oath where decisions are discussed and, finally, a global social distancing that acts as a catalyst for unprecedented demands and scenarios of which we are completely proud.

We received 10,763 posters from 87 countries around the world, and today the design world can receive the results.

This process has been a real challenge for us, and today we feel capable of everything. It took a little over three months to compile information in three stages where our juries started the process. Points of view were permanently exchanged and in the final decision moments, the opinions of the juries were consolidated during seven long hours of uninterrupted work across five different time zones.

The juries debated and analyzed each piece from their own and common points of view. The decisions were unanimously agreed upon and left all of us who lived through the process a great joy, reaffirming that we can respond to hurdles, both innovatively and responsibly.

So before congratulating all the winners of the BICeBé Bolivia Poster Biennial, it means:

Thanks, Kiko!
Thanks, Rikke!
Thanks, Mehdi!
Thanks, Malika!
Thanks, Art!
Thanks, Cynthia!
Thanks, Fidel
Thanks, Joanna!
Thanks, Daisuke!

For the time they gave, the sleeplessness and commitment in the last stage where we witnessed how it went from night to day in Daisuke’s window and saw the dawn in Tokyo, almost without realizing it.

It is time to recognize all the designers who are waiting for the result. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS. Browse all the posters here
